Twelve people, two dentists, and an average of nine years each at Pinecrest.
Dr. Hannah Okafor, DMD
Founding dentist
Hannah opened Pinecrest in 2011 after six years in a community clinic in Salem. She graduated from the OHSU School of Dentistry and does most of our crowns, implant restorations and anxious-patient visits. Off the clock she coaches a U10 Nordic team at Mt. Bachelor and is slowly losing a war with the deer in her garden.
Dr. Ben Lindqvist, DDS
Dentist
Ben joined in 2018 from a pediatric practice in Spokane, so he sees most of our youngest patients, plus root canals and night guards. He trained at the University of Washington and completed a general practice residency in Tacoma. He rides the Phil's Trail network most mornings before the office opens.
Maria Delgado, RDH
Lead hygienist
Maria has cleaned teeth in Bend for nineteen years and has been with Pinecrest since the first week. She runs our periodontal maintenance program and is the reason our patients actually floss. Hablamos español con Maria.
Tessa Ruiz
Office manager
Tessa handles scheduling, insurance pre-authorizations and every billing question. If your plan changed in January, she has probably already called them for you.
Continuing education
Both dentists complete well over Oregon’s required 40 hours of continuing education every two years. Recent courses include digital crown design, pediatric behavior management and sleep apnea screening. Our hygienists are certified to give local anesthetic and to place sealants and fluoride varnish.
