Dental care for every age in the house

We are a general practice. That means we handle the everyday work ourselves and send you to a trusted specialist (we work closely with oral surgeons and orthodontists in Bend) only when it’s genuinely the better choice.

Preventive care

• Cleanings and exams. Adult hygiene visits are 60 minutes; kids’ visits are 45. A dentist examines every patient at every cleaning, not just once a year.
• Digital X-rays. Bitewings once a year for most adults, a full set every five years.
• Sealants and fluoride varnish for children, usually starting when the first permanent molars come in around age six.
• Periodontal maintenance every three or four months for patients with a history of gum disease, run by our lead hygienist, Maria Delgado.

Restorative care

• Tooth-colored fillings. We no longer place silver (amalgam) fillings.
• Crowns and bridges. We scan instead of using goopy impression trays, and most crowns are ready in two weeks from a lab in Portland.
• Implant restorations. An oral surgeon places the implant; Dr. Okafor designs and places the crown on top, so your care stays with us.
• Root canals on front teeth and most premolars. Molars with curved or calcified canals go to an endodontist.
• Dentures and partials, including relines and repairs.

Kids’ dentistry

Dr. Lindqvist spent five years in a pediatric practice before joining us. We see children from their first birthday, and the first “ride in the chair” visit is free. Parents are welcome in the room for every visit.

Comfort and cosmetic

• Night guards for clenching and grinding, made from a scan and fitted in one short visit.
• Take-home whitening trays with a professional-strength gel.
• Nitrous oxide for nervous patients of any age. For deeper sedation we refer to a local oral surgeon.

Emergencies

Toothache, swelling, a broken tooth or a lost crown: call us at the start of the day and we hold time every weekday for urgent visits. Existing patients can reach the dentist on call after hours through our main number.
